A couple of years ago, around 2019, I wanted to download Audacity, a free audio editor, for a school project. I used Google to search for it and clicked on the first link that Google showed. It wasn’t sponsored, it looked like the real deal. But when I downloaded it, something weird struck me: The installer had an option to add a toolbar. I mean, 2019 is a couple of years back now already, before the pandemic and all.

I built this site in my spare time as a way to test out Hugo, a fast static site generator, and to create a simple homepage to go along with my email domain. If someone stumbles across the domain or looks me up, there’s now something here to explore.
It’s been fun experimenting with Hugo and seeing how flexible it is.

Windows96.net Windows 96 is a web-based operating system copying the style of Windows 9x operating systems and with some humor has created a functioning mock OS that runs in your browser, even capable of installing apps using a package manager.
